Student Support

English Language Learner Program

The school's English Language Learner Program helps to assure equal access to educational opportunities for linguistically and culturally diverse students. The ELL Program supports HIDOE's mission through supplementary instructional and acculturation activities. The program supports students' attainment of the Hawaii Content and Performance Standards (HCPS) / Common Core State Standards (CCSS) through the World Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) English Language Development (ELD) Standards.

ELL students are also encouraged to attend Imagine Learning classes before or after school. Imagine Learning is a computer program. Classes are held daily except on Wednesdays. For more information, please click on the following link.

A+ After-School Care

The A+ after-school care program provides latchkey children with the conducive learning environment for completing homework, developing social skills, and developing physical agility through games, music, and crafts.

The A+ Program provides after school childcare on regular school days, beginning after school until 5:30 p.m. The program will not operate when school is closed, including school vacation periods, holidays, and Teacher Institute Day.
